The child viewed as a citizen is central to the contemporary, inclusive and holistic curriculum that acknowledges parents, guardians and the child’s family as the primary educators of their child.
The outdoor and inside spaces are carefully planned and maintained to be relevant to the interests and desires of the child and to ensure opportunities for rich and meaningful social interactions.
Routines are carefully planned and constantly reviewed to ensure that the physical, emotional and educational needs of every child are being met.
Using a clearly defined planning cycle teachers and educators observe, listen, record and reflect on the children’s learning and development. The ‘Practice Principles’ outlined in the ‘Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework’ underpin the pedagogical practices of the teaching team.
The child has the right to engage in tasks that are driven by their interests and their longings that develop the capacity of every child. Teachers and Educators are responsive to the voice of the child, inviting feedback from the children throughout the learning cycle.
The needs, desires and spirit of each child is central to our work. Our passion is to provide exceptional quality educational opportunities for every child, nurturing a sense of joy, a love of life-long learning and discovery and a sense of belonging through relationships and interactions.
