Hepburn Kindergarten boasts a huge, natural outdoor environment. Children have the opportunity to enjoy and play outside every session. If the weather is particularly bad, we have access to a separate, outdoor, undercover area.

Children are at the heart of everything we do. We view the child as competent, capable, and filled with wonder and curiosity. We believe strong, secure relationships are essential and strive to build these with the children, families, and our close-knit rural community.

At Hepburn Kindergarten, we provide high quality education. Our program is play based, hands on and based on the children’s interests, strengths, and developmental needs.

Teaching is intentional and literacy and numeracy are embedded in fun ways throughout our program. We value the use of natural materials, loose parts and foster children’s cultural competence.
