The Beaufort Early Childhood Centre is a community based hub consisting of Long Day Care, Kindergarten and Maternal Child Health. We cater for up to 70 children aged from birth to five. In our rural setting, we take the opportunity to be visible within the broader community that is the Pyrenees district.
Our pedagogy and image of the child is one of potential with an extraordinary wealth of inborn abilities, strength and creativity. We believe the dispositions for learning such as curiosity, optimism, resilience, concentration, and creativity are developed in play.
Our holistic approach to teaching sees children’s learning as integrated and interconnected in a play-based environment. Our kindergarten and Long Day Care program is underpinned by the principles and practices of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the national framework Belonging, Being and Becoming.
